About Me

I am a not yet 55 year old woman married for 25+ years, 4 kids, 1 dog and 1 cat. The kids are beginning to leave home. One is launched, one is in college and 2 are still at home. As a couple we are entering the final stage of our parenting journey: the teenage years and beyond. We are starting to dream and think and plan for those years when the house is quiet and it is just us once again. Please join me as I explore what it means to grow older with adventure and grace.

Blogs Worth a Click: National Pumpkin Day Addition

Today is unofficially National Pumpkin Day. It is National Pumpkin Day mostly because I declared it to be so. Millions already join in the celebration. In case you did know it is also National Give Me Chocolate and No One Gets Hurt Day.

A pumpkin is not the only thing you can carve a face in to. You Fun Family has a Jack-O-Orange

In my house, every day is "Give Me Chocolate and No One Gets Hurt Day!" We just never had an official name for it. My kids just call it "mommy".

Anne, That is a great line. You have write a post using it. It is the kind of set up other bloggers would kill to think of.

I celebrated by dragging out our stupid "crazy laughing" pumpkin out from the basement only to find it doesn't work anymore.

Happy National Pumpkin Day!

JD, I am glad you have have one of those talking pumpkins even if it doesn't work, so I don't have to.

Hello Carol, thanks for the acknowledgment on my Jack o'Lantern. Sadly it didn't make it to Halloween. :( It shriveled up. Next year, I'll have to carve it one or two days before.
