About Me

I am a not yet 55 year old woman married for 25+ years, 4 kids, 1 dog and 1 cat. The kids are beginning to leave home. One is launched, one is in college and 2 are still at home. As a couple we are entering the final stage of our parenting journey: the teenage years and beyond. We are starting to dream and think and plan for those years when the house is quiet and it is just us once again. Please join me as I explore what it means to grow older with adventure and grace.

Blogs Worth a Click: Catch Up Addition

The orginial idea behind Blogs Worth a Click was to later recap blogs suggested by the commentors who are usually bloggers themselves. I was thinking at least monthly. Thinking and doing are two different actions.

There are so many interesting blogs and few ways for others to discover them. This would be perfect for a Mr Linky type plugin but my current blog platform doesn't offer any thing like that. Sad but true. It doesn't even offer something like Comment Luv. Very sad.

 Diet and Exercise Addition

Gina suggested 101Cookbooks as worth a click.

Speaking Hope Addition

Ton suggested Modus Vivendi

Odd But Interesting Addition

SheSue Expirence suggested Unusual Hotels of the World which includes a ice hotel. How cool is that!

So in theory this is what I am planning to do. If you are a commentor with your own blog and you suggest a different blog you enjoy on the given topic, when I do the monthly recap, link love all around. Manually because of my blog platform. (I do believe this irks me more than I realized!)

Anyone blogging on the perfect platform?

If "the perfect blogging platform" has to be gree, I can't help you. Lots of people say WordPress is the best, but you still have to pay for hosting.

I use TypePad and I think it's perfect. For me, anyway. It has tons of options, one set fee, and customer support out the wazoo! Love it!

Mr. Linky works with any platform that allows you do add HTML to the post. I might be able to help you with that. email me if you want to try.

I use blogger, it's free. It doesn't seem to have all the bells and whistles that some others have but it works for me. I have a blog about being frugal if you want to check it out!

I use free Blogger, it's easy. But I know most people recommend Word Press.
