The Best: A Christmas Carol

This engenders some debate in our home but causes no divide because we like them both.
Which version of A Christmas Carol do you perfer? The one with George C Scott as Ebenezer Scrooge or the Patrick Steward version?
It is a given that the original written by Charles Dickens is the best and if he had done a screen play, we would not even be debating this point now.

I've never seen the Patrick Stewart version. :(
George C Scott of course! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a SAFE and Happy New Year!
I wish you a Merry Christmas and may God bless you and yours. :)
I haven't seen the Patrick Stewart version either, but I enjoy his acting so I figure I'd like it. The George C. Scott version is excellent, of course!
Merry Christmas!
I love them both. Both actor embody Ebenezer in a unique but ever so real way. Love this Dickens classic.
Neither. I prefer the 1951 "A Christmas Carol" starring Alastair Sim.
There is also a 1938 version, but I think the 1951 movie is much better.
Patrick Stewart version definitely!
