Parenting Teens: How Phat A Parent Are You?
Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10:24AM Do you know what this says? I g2g ttyl lylas c u l8r
Phat ranking:
I like totally know like what it says: Phat Rent, shops at American Eagle with her kids
I get it all but lylas: Your child might allow you to friend her on Facebook.
I haven't a clue what it means but I suspect it is crude: Like chill, check it on NetLingo before you lose your cool.
I got to go talk to you later love you like a sis see you later . Translated for me by my resident tech geek.

I knew them all except "lylas." Thanks for the further education! It's hard to stay aware since I do not have any children. Fortuately, I do keep in contact with some nice teens who fill me in on stuff like this.
That's a great site. I wrote about the Urban dictionary http://connectwithyourteens.blogspot.com/2008/05/urban-dictionary-you-too-can-finally.html in my blog about connecting with teens.
LYLAS is old stuff! We used to sign notes like that in middle school! ABFA, LYLAS!
I am so not a Phat Rent, what does ABFA mean?
I'm so glad my kids aren't into texting . . . yet. I know my days are numbered!
I can't imagine what language or slang my kids will be using when they are teenagers 10-12 years from now. Maybe pig latin will become popular again :)
ABFA=a best friend always! And then there's AVBFA, and AVVBFA.
