Aging with Grace: When Faith Becomes Sight
Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 08:06PM Our friend who was very sick died. This is the lyrics to one of the songs he chose for his memorial service:
I can only imagine, what my eyes will see, when Your Face is before me!
I can only imagine. I can only imagine.
Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing 'Hallelujah!'? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!
I can only imagine, when all I will do, is forever, forever worship You!
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing 'Hallelujah!'? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! Yeah! I can only imagine!
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing 'Hallelujah!'? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! Yeah! I can only imagine!
I can only imagine.
I can only imagine."
For the present we see things as if in a mirror, and are puzzled; but then we shall see Him face to face. For the present the knowledge I gain is imperfect; but then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 1 Cor 13:12
Vinnie, Bye for now. See you later.
We will all die……do you know (not imagine, think, opine or are deluded) that after you die there will be Sonrise?

So sorry for your loss. That is one of my favorite songs. SO powerful and vivid.
It is a powerful song. In light of recent events the truth of the words is resonating even more.
This song makes me raise my face and smile every time I hear it.
Yes, I know.
I know.
God bless you,
Grandmother Wren
What a beautiful song!
Oh how I love that song! I can't wait for the day until I am able to worship Him all day long! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
